Alex McMurray - My Man, My Man, Take Me Back To The War
My man my man take me back to the war
I want to live upon dry land not on this killing floor
Where all the dead they look like extras
Not folks I knew before
My man my man my man take me back to the war
There’s babies floating in my driveway
There’s gators crawling up on my roof
Dali’s got nothing on us nowadays
Everywhere I see the proof
I think they messed with my perception
I thought I knew the score
My man my man my man take me back to the war
I’m going to write up my own ticket
Do my dance down at the dome
Please don’t disturb me while i kick it
Gonna make myself at home
I’m going to add to my collection
And then I’ll scream for more
My man my man my man take me back to the war
Now don’t Fallujah look so pretty
from here upon our drownded shore
go hat in hand to the hind titty
to hear our pappy snore
there ain’t a dry eye in the building
when it rains it pours
My man my man my man take me back to the war
I’ll be the poobah up in Utah
I’ll be the man up in Spokane
I’ll be the neighbor makes you nervous way up in Michigan
But I’m not through, I’m just reloading
And I’m gonna count to four
My man my man my man take me back to the war

“The Global Cannibal” is the title track from Behind Enemy Lines CD released in March of 2003. Featuring ex-members of Aus Rotten, The Pist, React and Penance, BEL holds nothing back in their criticism of US politics using hardcore punk as their sonic backdrop.
The Global Cannibal
Importing oil exporting blood
We’ll take their barrels of oil by the barrel of a gun
Importing capital, exporting death
We’ll keep dropping our bombs until there’s none of them left
We don’t need actual evidence to seal a nation’s fate
just the promise of profit that their resources create
Unleashing our forces to preserve the American dream
by tapping their oil reserves to run our machines
We rule this world
We answer to no one
We’ve used the U.N. in the past to legitimize our crimes
but if they won’t stand with us now, then fuck them
We are the most powerful empire this world has ever seen
and we’ll have you either on your knees or under our heel
We’ll force you to disarm while our fingers on the button
to continue our reign as the worlds biggest gluttons
War propaganda plagues our country
American perception is not reality
Our leaders have a war mentality
We’re living in a war mentality
We feed on fear
We prey on weakness
We drop bombs on people in the name of freedom
We shower civilians with shells of depleted uranium
We want you disarmed
so you can’t resist us
when we liberate your land for American interests
The companies anxiously await their sound investment
War propaganda plagues our country
American perception is not reality
Our leaders have a war mentality
We’re living in a war mentality
We devour it all
We’re the global cannibal
With the brits by our side we’ll bomb them back into the Stone Age
to punish them for how uncivilized they are
Our superiority and first-world arrogance
entitle us to the double standards
elevating ourselves above criticism and consequence
and justifying anticipatory self defense
We see through your lies
You can stand on your own
We’re not with the terrorists,
we’re not with you and we’re not alone
You’re spilling blood to make oilmen richer
and redeem daddy for his miserable failure
but the people you’re killing, have a right to exist
We can’t let in come to this
War propaganda plagues our country
American perception is not reality
Our leaders have a war mentality
We’re living in a war mentality

Written in 2003 as a response to the ever-increasing likelihood of Britain follwing America into Iraq, we never thought we’d still be singing this song five years later and that it would still be so relevant.
